What is a narcissistic smear campaign?

Are you the target of a narcissistic smear campaign? When I left the damaging cult I was in in 2022, I shared my testimony with a group of current students.
I believed then, and still do now, that they had a right to know. And that I had a right to tell my story without fear.
The response was shocking. Most shocking of all was their holding of what a lawyer called ‘a medieval witch trial’ set of ‘meetings’ ‘about me’.
They showed a total disregard for GDP and laws around protecting the identity of victims of s*xu@l abuse by sharing my full name by email with hundreds of people.
They proceeded to slander me in meetings, people I thought were my friends, who told me they loved me, said awful and untrue things about me. I was called ‘the next Amber Heard’ by a woman who had been my ‘sacred women’s group’ teacher.
This is part of a phenomena called ‘flying monekys’ when cronies are sent to carry out the narcissist’s agenda - more on this later.
‘Colateral’ collected from me on various occasions in the form of, often very personal, ‘spiritual testimony’ made under duress was used - recordings of my voice (made under coercion) were played without my consent.
The core of the later meetings was reading long letters from the arguably narcissistic leader.
Every single thing (from the 10 minutes I could bear to listen to) he said about our interactions was a lie.
Including the lie that I asked him for money for rent (!)
I often wonder how I believed, as I see it, (but perhaps that’s wishful thinking) the less - crazy delusions and lies I heard about others when I was deep in the cult.
When your whole world view is informed by one unquestionable authority figure and his hierarchy of followers, your response to what they say changes over time.
What I initially questioned I later accepted. This happened after I had accepted other teachings, after I’d had positive experiences.
Cults take over your whole world view, your life, your time.
They think they own you - your story, your belief, your body. As this campaign they conducted against me shows. It is modern slavery in plain sight, and often under a pretty mask. #cultawarenessday #narcissistic
