Dance In Your Power is a mix of easy dance moves, theory/discussion, nervous system regulation, journaling prompts and self reflection, guided meditations, and breath work.🌀
The elements (Earth 🌍, Water 🌊, Fire 🔥, Air 🌬️) and their energies form a thematic basis for this work, with each week based around a different element, together with nervous system responses, embodiment, empowerment and self-awareness.
It is an inclusive space open to everyone. No previous experience in dance, or anything else, is needed!
𝗕𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝟰 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹:
✅ understand more about your body, emotions and nervous system responses and have anytime tools to regulate these.
✅ Have a range of foundational go-to moves for both body isolation and the whole body that you can use to dance and express yourself.
✅Have increased love and confidence in yourself, your body and feelings
✅Feel more empowered to be creative and express yourself
✅Have understanding, tools and practices to release limiting beliefs and traumas that prevent you from both dancing freely and standing fully in your power.
Each session will be trauma-informed and every session is tailored as much as possible to the needs of the group.
Resources and support will be offered outside the classes through a private Facebook group.
